New features
Massively Multi-Author Environment Management - We've built custom scripts that manage this, but it seems like something that would best be handled inherently for this, and that there is a space to be filled in the market on. Basically, every author should have a profile with a bio, photo and their most recent posts. I think anyone with a multi-author environment would want that. Then there should be tools to manage many authors more easily, adding photos and bio text, and triggering emails to all the authors etc.
Security Options - It would be really nice to be able to easily integrate MT into another application without separate log-ins. Right now the security was done so well on MT that it actually makes it fairly difficult to integrate. I haven't thought through well how this could work better, but there should be some plug-ins to look at other security tables or visa versa.
Built in Statistics - It would be great to have a better view integrated into MT of what's popular, in the last 24 hours, 1 hour, and all-time. This would take page views, permalinks, comments and emailed stats into account
